Welcome to The MIDI Project

The MIDI Project is a free piece of software, that is currently still under development. It is basically a MIDI music manager. It will feature a search function, which can be used to search through the MIDI Project database. Every user will be able to contribute to this database.
The MIDI Project will also feature a MIDI library manager, which can be used to easily keep track of the MIDI files on your pc, and a built-in MIDI player, based on Un4Seen's BASS Audio Library, using the BASS.net port by Radio42.com. It will also include support for custom soundfonts, which means you will be able to get high-quality music from your MIDI files, instead of the usual bleeping.
The MIDI Project will be programmed in VB.net, and will run on any Windows computer with the correct frameworks installed. Linux and Mac versions might be developed later.
Currently the only developer is Sven Slootweg (http://www.sven-slootweg.nl), but there are always spots open for good VB.net developers.

Keep an eye on this blog, because in the next few days, the first screenshots will be released!
